We recently had the privilege of executing a premium hardbound book printing project for the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, a globally respected organisation dedicated to promoting liberal values, political education, and freedom across Germany and more than 60 countries worldwide.
It included full printing and manufacturing of the high-quality biography “Journey of Dr. Carsten Klein in South Asia” by Dr. Carsten Klein. The aim was straightforward: to produce not just a long-lasting, stylish and aesthetically pleasing tome but one imbuing the significance of its content and the institution behind it.
About the Client: Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom
The Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (German: Friedrich-Naumann-Stiftung für die Freiheit), established on May 19, 1958, is dedicated to liberal thought. The Foundation is engaged in encouraging civic engagement via political education, events, publications, and scholarship programmes. The foundation, based in Potsdam with head offices around the world, is a leader in promoting freedom and responsibility in contemporary society.

Premium Printing & Paper Selection
We chose the finest quality of imported paper stocks for the print quality and durability:
Inside Pages:
Imported Sunshine Paper with Fine Mat, 130 GSM
Cover:
Imported art paper of 170 GSM for more strength and an appealing look
We used a high-resolution digital printing process with accurate colour calibration for printing, which provides sharp, crisp text, uniform tones and highly saturated images. The colour of every page was measured, and consistent prints were conducted before the final run.
Fabrication & Binding Excellence
The book was intended to be both durable and premium-looking:
- 170 GSM art paper used for cover printing
- Laminated matt thermal with applied layers to give it smoothness and elegance.
- Being made into a hardcover with a 2mm Kappa Board
- Inner pages printed on Sunshine Paper of 130 GSM
- Every page is coated with matt aqueous for extra durability.
Then the book was thread-stitched, perfect-bound, and finely trimmed to provide an impeccable finished product.
The binding style provided additional durability while also making the finished book look and feel more appealing. High-quality finishing gives a professional, institutional-quality feel.
