In 2012, the concept of establishing a design and print company gained shape. The brand name "d'prints" means something special. "d" represents Design, and "p" represents Print. The letters also symbolize the names of Mr.Kailash’s lovable sons, Dhruv and Prerit. In lowercase, "dp" resembles the Hindi letter "क," which resonates with the names of Kailash as well as his wife, KHUSHI. That personal connection became the inspiration for the name KHUSHI d'prints Inc.

Officially, d'prints started operations in 2014 and had JIMS Rohini as one of our initial clients. Growth continues as we support numerous colleges and universities in India and other institutions, such as MKM College for Girls in Hodal. Several well-known brands have also joined our client list over the years.

1. The Brief

   At d'prints, our process starts when the client comes to us with a brief. This may be a detailed discussion or a written brief. We review them thoroughly and clarify unclear points, discussing print finishes and client expectations. After the quote and brief have been approved, we brainstorm ideas as a team. We consider usability, layout, and target audience, usually working out concepts on paper. This allows us to rapidly test ideas before entering into digital design so that we can be efficient and ensure client direction.

2. Creation

   Once we have completed the brief and sketches, we turn our concepts into reality on the screen. During this stage, we choose the fonts and colors and create document styles. Planning the layout is key to making the design both useful and beautiful. We sometimes share parts of large projects with the team in order to get early feedback. Team review and revisions occur prior to client sharing, so we have the opportunity to fine-tune the design and ensure high standards and creative objectives are met.

3. Feedback

   It is exciting and a little bit terrifying to send the initial design concept to clients. Clients typically select their preferred solution in a hurry, but we encourage stakeholders to review it over a few days. At d'prints, we happily make revisions based on feedback to ensure the design is perfect. For larger projects, we start typing up text and images after approval of the idea. Version control keeps things going smoothly, keeping everyone on the same page and hurrying along the way to a finished design that everyone adores.

4. Final Artwork

   After clients sign off and approve the design, we create print-ready artwork. When producing internally, we deliver files to reputable suppliers and ship printed products to customers. In addition to prints, customers have high and low-resolution PDFs for web or email applications. We eagerly await copies of completed products, looking forward to how paper selection or print processes enhance the final design even further. This completes our creative process.
